Press pass or not, I didn't want to miss out on the fun of riding up a pass and joining thousands of fellow fans. Mitch snapped this shot of me riding up the Passo Gardena.
(above right) We could see the riders from far away as they made their way along the road at the base of the cliffs.

Parra, Rujano, Belli, and Bettini are in the lead group.

(above left ) The gruppo maglia rosa arrives.
You can just see Basso, and behind him, Di Luca and Savoldelli. They can also be seen in the photo above, along with Dave Z, who worked very hard on this stage.
