Mighty Monte Pelmo, upon whose slopes you can see dinosaur tracks. Not far from where I took this photo (near Passo Giau),
the 7,000-year-old remains of "Mondeval Man" were found.

Le Cinque Torri (Five Towers). Although Torre Trephor collapsed in 2004, there are still about a dozen others. Only five can be seen from down in Cortina however, hence the name.

The 4x4's are loaded with the shepherds' gear, as they prepare to bring their flocks down from the
high pastures.
