Even before it was designated a UNESCO World Heritage site, its popularity with visitors continued to grow. The wine business has become a big business. Residents all want to plant new Glera vines (the grape from which Prodecco DOCG is made), or open a wine tasting room, B&B, agritour, or trattoria, and the narrow, winding roads can be crowded with the automobiles of tourists. Cycling, then, is the best way to tour the area!
The Prosecco Hills Trail is a newly completed 4-stage hiking route that traverses the entire core zone of the UNESCO World Heritage area. On the website you will also find a selection of shorter hikes that are engaging and fascinating. (Please read and follow the trail rules!)
